A Century of Vision in Commercial Real Estate

From pioneering retail projects to modern mixed-use developments, James J. Cordano Company brings a century of vision, strategy and integrity to every project.

About James J. Cordano Company

James J. Cordano Company is a family-owned real estate company focused primarily on the development and acquisition of retail and mixed-use properties.

Its roots trace back to 1922, when it was founded as a leading retail brokerage firm. In 1952, leveraging its strong retail relationships, the company developed one of the first suburban regional shopping centers in the U.S.  Over the decades, its portfolio grew to include 11 regional enclosed malls and numerous retail and mixed-use developments across the West Coast and the Pacific Northwest.  As market conditions evolved, the company transitioned away from regional malls, refocusing on more diversified and adaptable real estate developments and investments.

The firm’s focus today is still the development of quality retail and mixed-use projects where they are needed and the acquisition of properties where it can add value through leasing, asset management and redevelopment.

Leadership Team

For over a century, James J. Cordano Company has built its reputation on integrity, experience, and the creation of long-term value in commercial real estate.
